Samsung PX2370 Led Monitor Review and Price

Samsung PX2370 LED Monitor – so called best 60Hz TN Panel. The rating for this LED monitor is quite high at 4.3 out of 5 Stars so far at Amazon, and there are hundreds of reviewers agreed about the quality and awesomeness of this Samsung PX2370 LED monitor.
I’m a kind of keen person, so I’ve collected lots of information on this Samsung PX2370 monitor despite on what Amazon has listed in their page (there are none, actually). Following my usual habit, before buying a monitor I will make a certain kind of checklist as a guide. This is something like:
Simply picking up a monitor without properly asking yourself what you need and how it will benefit you is sometimes a suicide. However, you can use my full research to see if you’re going to need this LED monitor or not.
You can scroll down more to read my full research, technical specs and full Samsung PX2370 review result.
ince the pricing is fluctuating each day, I really can’t give you the exact pricing for this Samsung PX2370 LED Monitor. However, you shouldn’t get it if it’s more than $280. It was priced at $400+ when first released, but it has a significant drop over the past years to make it affordable.
You can use the following comparison table for the most up to-date price war, or you can go directly to Amazon as currently they’ve got the lowest price: $265.99 at the time of writing this article.
The Samsung SyncMaster PX2370 monitor arrives in Europe. The display offers a LED panel, an average consumption of 25W, a diagonal of 23.7 inches, a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5M:1 (1000:1 real), a sensor of presence and triple connectors VGA/DVI/HDMI. Price: 369 euros.

Apple Macbook Air OWC SSD Storage Upgrade Tips

When I first got my Macbook Air, I fell in love with its diminutive profile, speedy boot times and incredible portability, but after living with it for a few months, one thing became glaringly apparent – 128GB was simply not enough room. Having convinced myself it would be at the time or purchase – I have recently found myself umbilically attached to a 500GB USB hard drive for music and photos.
Now, 6 months in, I was faced with two choices – stick the current MBA on eBay and stump up the extra cash for a larger capacity Air – or invest in a 3rd party storage solution. The first option is just stupid, so an upgrade was on the cards.

At the time of writing there is only one choice for upgrading your hard drive on the Air. Other World Computing offer a range of Air SSDs, ranging from a 180GB option, right the way up to a 480GB beast. OWC have been going since before the dawn of time and have always offered outstanding products for Mac, so I decided going with them was a pretty safe bet.
I purchased the 240GB SSD as it gives twice the room and comes in at a pricey but not wallet-breaking $579. (The theory was to stick my current SSD on eBay and get $200 or so back for it). The drive arrived a few days later and the install process was fairly straightforward. Using the supplied tools, unscrew the bottom cover from the MBA, remove the current SSD and swap it out with the new one.
So now that it’s all in place — data restored and a few months down the line — is it worth the upgrade?
The Good:
Im fairly techie minded, however the install process is so simple, it was a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). If you are able to use a screwdriver, then you will be able to swap the drive out.
The documentation that comes with the drive states that, as well as a storage upgrade you will also get a 68 percent speed boost too. I can’t vouch for a 68 percent increase (the factory SSD scored 2911 on Geekbench, whereas with the OWC drive added I got 2967), however there is a marked increase in everything from transfer speeds to application launch times.
Using Aperture, with my library stored on the SSD, rather than on the external drive was where the difference was most obvious. The app loads incredibly quickly, and editing images happens in lightning fast time. For a computer that, on paper resembles a netbook rather than a pro laptop, I found myself in awe of the experience. Obviously the MacBook Air is more than just a hard drive, but having the OWC SSD installed meant that I had room to maneuver.
Of course having the extra room is great – being able to dump the tethered USB drive has made the portability of the MBA really shine through.
The Bad:
To be honest, there is only one thing wrong with the Mercury Aura Pro Express SSD. The Price. Whichever way you look at it $579 is a lot of money. I do feel that the price could be a little lower, but considering the technology that goes into creating a flash drive of such minuscule proportions, OWC can be forgiven for charging a premium.
Verdict:
Only you can decide whether stumping up the cash for a larger hard drive is worth it, but in my circumstances, the Mercury Aura Pro Express SSD has been a lifesaver. Yes, maybe I should have bought the larger capacity MBA in the first place. But for all those — like me — who didn’t, OWC offers a welcome lifeline.
The Mercury Aura Pro Express SSD is available with same day shipping, directly from the OWC website.

LG V300 All-in-one Desktop PC Review, Features and Price

Lg V300 3D Desktop PC Review:
The new all-in-one from LG with an high-end configuration you get a Intel Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics, 750GB HDD, 8GB RAM, Blu-ray player packed with system’s slender 1.8-inch thick frame. The V300 also features a multi-touch 23-inch Film-type Patterned Reader (FPR)-enabled display offers 3D with polarized glasses. It will hit on Korea on July followed by Europe, the Middle East and Asia. No words on when will it hit on US and for more details read the press release

LG Electronics (LG) will be unveiling its first all-in-one PC which will feature the innovative Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) display, found in its popular CINEMA 3D TVs. The LG V300, developed in partnership with Intel, will be unveiled at Computex 2011, Asia's largest IT exhibition, in Taipei from May 31 to June 4.

The LG V300 will come with an impressive list of features including 2nd Generation Intel Core processors, 3D FPR display, In Plane Switch (IPS) screen technology that creates a stunning 178-degree viewing angle and a triple camera system for superb multitouch capability.

"The combination of the newest Intel Core processor and the FPR display in the LG V300 is going to create a new level of performance and viewing experience in a PC," said J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the LG Electronics PC Business Unit. "With millions of homes now using their PCs as entertainment hubs, marrying the best from the computing world with the best from the display world was the next natural
step in the evolution of the PC."

"2nd Generation Intel Core processor paves the way for great all-in-one systems like LG Electronics new V300. " said Mooly Eden, Vice President and General Manager of Intel PC Client Group. "The V300 combines LG Electronics' display technology with 2nd Generation Intel Core's great performance and built-in visuals to create an awesome PC experience. "

Better 3D, No Discomfort
The 23-inch 3D Full HD LED monitor on the LG V300 offers vivid and crisp 3D images with less crosstalk and flicker. And because FPR does not require glasses to sync with an emitter, heavy shutter-type glasses are a thing of the past. Instead, the LG V300 comes with two sets of lightweight polarized glasses for a more comfortable and enjoyable 3D experience. Furthermore, the viewing experience on previous 3D displays was
negatively affected by non-perpendicular viewing angles. This problem has largely been eliminated with the LG V300's IPS technology, which allows for an impressive 178-degree viewing angle. The system operates a Color Shift configuration that accurately renders colors and images for viewers not directly facing the screen.

Minimalism Is In
LG's engineering team reduced the thickness of the LG V300's active display to a mere 44.65mm, which is up to 65 percent slimmer than other leading models. This focus on reducing unnecessary bulk was then incorporated into LG's concept of minimalism. With a wireless keyboard and mouse, the design requires only a single power cable, eliminating clutter and tangled cords. The end effect is a sleek, clean appearance that
fits elegantly into any interior décor.

An Enhanced Multi-touch Experience with a Triple Camera System
With three individual camera sensors to provide a more accurate multi-touch functionality, LG's new PC brings a higher level of precision to the touch screen experience. The user interface has also been optimized to be as intuitive as possible, and the interface itself is supported with easy-to-use applications. The final result is a smooth yet sophisticated multi-touch interaction between the LG V300 and the user, free from ghosting and glitches.

The LG V300 also includes full support for Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) to enable sharing of data between devices as well as Intel's Wireless Display, also known as 'Wi-Di' to wirelessly stream content to a TV. LG V300 will launch in Korea in July followed by markets in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Dell Inspiron Duo Touch Screen Tablet Review Specification And Price

Dell Inspiron Duo highly innovative netbook/tablet hybrid is easy to criticise, but the Inspiron Duo offers a glimpse at the future of personal computing.
Those that can look past its undeniable quirks may find a device that changes the way they use a computer.
The idea is that you buy the device with a dock. This acts as a hub for the netbook and converts it into an alarm clock and photo frame, while also charging it.
The dock comes with JBL-branded speakers, which are decent enough, but won't challenge a home hi-fi system.
When you're out and about with the device you have the choice of either netbook or tablet mode.
Switching between them, by flipping the panel horizontally and then closing the lid, is intuitive and the mechanism feels sturdy enough to survive rigorous use.
Firstly, the device impresses in netbook mode. The 1366 x 768-pixel resolution is sharp inside the 10.1-inch screen, while the spacious keyboard provides a great typing experience, despite a bit of flexibility. Those who want to edit and type in word documents will have no problem using the device for hours on end.
Performance is standard fare for a netbook and, while office applications run fine, more resource-intensive programs and multi-tasking causes serious lag.

Benchmarks
Battery life: 215 minutesMobileMark 2007: 60
3DMark 2003: 642
In terms of connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi is great for wireless networking to a home router, for example, but the lack of an Ethernet port (even though the dock features one) and video out does seem an omission. It means that those who like to view content on their TV, for example, simply don't have the option.
In tablet mode you're introduced to Dell's 'Stage' touch software, which gives you quick access to your music, videos and photos, among other things. It sits over the Windows 7 interface and, although intuitive, features a few quirks that make it sometimes confusing. You can't travel back through some menus, for example. Flawed touchscreen The touchscreen isn't as accurate as we would have liked either, which can be frustrating, but once you get used to it, browsing the web and selecting music is surprisingly quick and easy – and offers a much more intuitive experience than in netbook mode. The Inspiron Duo is also pretty heavy.

Portability-wise the device is no problem to carry around, but the 215-minute battery life is a little disappointing.
There's no doubt the Inspiron Duo is flawed by a few issues, but we thoroughly bought into Dell's vision of combining the netbook and tablet, and flipping between the two to carry out different tasks is intuitive and fun.

Dell Inspiron 15R Intel Core I3 Laptop Review , Specs and Price

Dell Inspiron 15R Review

The newly designed Inspiron 15R is the latest 15.6-inch desktop-replacement notebook from Dell. Equipped with the Intel Core i3 or i5 processors and Intel GMA HD graphics, this budget-friendly system is aimed at the masses. In this review we take an in-depth look at this new system and see how it performs.

Dell Inspiron 15R (N7010) Specifications:

  • Intel Core i3 370M processor (2.4GHz, 3MB cache)
  • 15.6-inch 1366x768 display with LED backlighting
  • Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
  • 4GB DDR3 memory
  • 500GB 5400rpm HDD
  • Intel HD integrated graphics
  • 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11n wireless, and Bluetooth
  • Intel Wi-Di (wireless display technology) and adapter
  • 6-cell Li-ion 48Wh battery
  • Dimensions: 14.8 x 10.31 x 1.25-1.34-inches
  • Weight: 5.79lbs
  • MSRP: $599 (excluding Intel Wi-Di

Dell Inspiron 15R Build and Design
The newly redesigned Inspiron 15R offers a much cleaner and sleeker look and feel compared to past models. Similar to the Adamo-series, the layout has a hinge-forward design with the screen positioned just slightly in front of the back edge of the chassis. This has the added benefit of moving the screen closer to the keyboard and bringing the action to you. The outside appearance of the new 15R is very stylish, with a faux-brushed metal screen cover. The look gives the appearance of metal, although with an easier to clean painted surface. This look it also shared inside the notebook, with the palmrest and keyboard trim.

Build quality is great with a strong chassis and very durable feeling plastic. Even with its large footprint, the thin chassis resist flex and doesn't creak when you lift it up from the corners. The keyboard and palmrest both have more than adequate support, and don't sag under strong pressure. The screen cover has moderate protection for the LCD, with only strong pressure to the back of the panel causing ripples. The screen has no problem staying put with two strong hinges that get the display into position and hold it without any wiggle.
Users looking to upgrade the RAM inside the Dell Inspiron 15R will find the process quite easy.  There is only one access panel on the bottom of the notebook. With a few Phillips head screws removed, you can add or repalce to the system memory. Unfortunately, getting access to the hard drive requires a complete disassembly of the notebook chassis.

Dell Inspiron 15R Ports and Features

For a budget 15-inch desktop-replacement the Inspiron 15R offers plenty of inputs. We counted three USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA/USB connection, HDMI and VGA-out , audio jacks, and Ethernet. It also featured a SDHC-card reader, but an ExpressCard slot was missing.
One feature Dell offers as an option on the Inspiron 15R is Intel Wi-Di (Wireless Display) that transmits 720P resolution video through wireless HDMI over a long distance to a receiver box that attaches to your HDTV. This technology is great for enjoying movies without needing to trip over wires draped across a living room. The downside is this technology requires a 2-3 second buffer, making it impossible to use for a second monitor where you need to actively control items on the screen. Browsing the web is very difficult when your mouse cursor is trailing a couple seconds behind. For watching a movie, its not a problem since you start it up and go hands-off.

The Intel Wi-Di option adds $100 to the price of the Inspiron 15R. In theory this is a great value, although at the time of this writing Dell only offers this on the highest configuration of the 15R. Our $599 model cannot currently be configured with Wi-Di on the Dell website. Instead, the lowest priced model with Wi-Di starts at $949.
