There's plenty going on in the Symbian camp. First, we saw the release of a few promising devices including the Nokia X7 and E6, then the leaked images of upcoming 1 GHz Symbian devices. Furthermore, Nokia is now rolling out updates for Symbian 3.2 and Symbian 5.0 based phones. Which means that if you own a Nokia smartphone powered by a version prior to Symbian^3, you'll soon be getting new features.
One of the key updates is the v7.3 browser, the same as seen in Symbian Anna devices. It will reportedly speed up browsing, and will have support for Arabic and Chinese language pages.
Ovi Maps is another updated feature in these handsets, but there are two different versions to take into consideration. Ovi Maps 3 SR4 will be available in Symbian 3.2 devices, while Symbian 5.0 phones will get the Ovi Maps 3 SR6 update. The added features will include indoor positioning through Wi-Fi, as well as travel and recommendation services.
Nokia has also listed a few of the devices running on the said platforms, in order to provide a better picture.
